I stayed at the Europa Hotel at the beginning of March , and did not enjoy my stay there. There is nothing to complain about regarding the cleanliness of the hotel and room etc, as this was average. The pictures of the hotel are not deceiving got what I saw, and the hotel is right next to the train station as it states so in that respect the locality is good.
If you a female would not recommend you walk outside the hotel alone day or night. I did not feel at all safe in this Hotel. There are three entrances into the Hotel only one where you walk past the reception, the others there are no staff about nor any cameras, people can walk in and out and use it as a walk through as you could walk in from the front and walk out through the back entrance as I saw people doing.
Also as the restaurant is on the 15th floor and is open to the public they have access to the rest of the hotel to get to the restaurant. I was only in this hotel for three nights and also found there is no where to eat in the surrounding areas or in the I was only in this hotel for three nights and also found there is no where to eat in the surrounding areas or in the town centre itself! I would not eat in the Hotel restaurant as the menu was very poor and overpriced.
We did ask the receptionist if there are ANY restaurants nearby or anywhere she could recommend to eat. She gave us directions to one not far from the hotel through the back entrance and past a large blacked out building called 'Erotic' yards from the hotel! When we saw the 'restaurant' it was more like and old kebab style hang out for 'men', in this area it did not surprise me!
We had breakfast in the Hotel and only managed a bowl of cereal with warm milk! The soft boiled eggs where hard boiled every morning, and seemed as though they had been lying around since the previous morning and could even try the scrabbled egg after looking at it the cheese omellette was like rubber.
